Supreme court unhappy over security at Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court yesterday expressed their unhappiness in the security arrangements provided at the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple from where treasure worth crores were discovered recently.
The SC said that the value of the assets discovered must be done with the help of experts.
The SC also directed to strengthen the security system and proposed construction of iron walls.
The court observed that the Rs 1cr which has been allotted for security measures is not insufficient.
The decision to open the other secret chamber would be taken after getting clarity on security.
The court rejected the plea of the royal family which had asked if assets of no historical importance could be converted into money. The case would be again considered today.
